Mini Broadway Bootcamp

July 15, 17 & 19
Due to popular demand, a Mini Broadway Bootcamp was just added so that children ages 5 to 10 will have the chance to experience what it's like to be in the spotlight of the wonderful world of Broadway. Register online today!  This newly added 3 day Mini Camp is packed full of plenty of theatrical fun! Professional actors, costumers and choreographers from New York, Boston and the Detroit area will come to work with your child during each session. This Monday, Wednesday and Friday all day camp will focus on singing, dancing, theater warm-ups and improv games as well as team building activities. Campers will have a hand in costume and set construction and will learn how to work together with friends to create an amazing show!

Abstract Art: Painting and Planting Workshop

Art’s not limited to a canvas. Join us for this workshop, where we’ll paint our own abstract art clay pots and plant beautiful flowers! Abstract art is all about mixing colors and finding new balances.
Enjoy a short guided tour of July's exhibition led by our Village Theater art staff & get creative! In this session, we’ll free ourselves, inspired by Troy Hubb’s paintings – this month’s Featured Art Gallery exhibitionist, and we’ll make & take awesome pots for some fresh new flowers. Everyone will receive two clay pots to paint and two flower plants.
No experience necessary. This class is appropriate for ages 21 and over. All supplies/materials will be provided. Cash bar will also be available. Space is limited, so register today!

Michigan Shakespeare Festival

Edmond Rostand’s 1897 epic, translated by Brian Hooker, is a romantic adventurous, and glorious comic-drama that has instilled itself as part of the classic cannon and introduced theater goers to the concept of ‘panache’. Directed by MSF Artist Director Janice L. Blixt and featuring Artistic Associate and Festival Fight Director David Blixt. Tickets: $16-$40
