River Day CelebrationMay 20 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
Canton's annual River Day Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 20 from 8 am. - 12 p.m. at Flodin Park, located on Saltz Road at Morton Taylor Road. The event will take place rain or shine and volunteers of all ages including residents, students, and scouts are encouraged to participate.

Bartlett's Kids Club is heading out to Freedom Park to try the latest exercise craze: Pickleball! Pickleball is a combination of tennis, badminton and table tennis using wooden racquets and ball similar to a wiffle ball. We will be meeting at the brand new Pickleball courts at Freedom Park located at Sheldon Rd and Palmer Rd for a short demo and introduction to the game of Pickleball. Summer Youth Activities - Basketball
Basketball league play and camps are available this summer for girls and boys. Sign up for Canton's recreational coed basketball league comprised of blended grades (3/4, 5/6, 7/8-grade as of fall 2017). All games are scheduled between 6-10pm at Summit on the Park, Tuesdays, June 6-August 1. Playoffs are August 8 for qualifying teams. Per player fees are $60 for Summit members, $65 for Canton residents and $75 for non-residents. Fee includes a T-shirt. Register today! For details, contact the Canton Sports Center at 734/483-5600.
Liberty Fest Coming Attractions
Canton's best summer tradition is right around the corner! Join us for canton's 26th Annual Liberty Fest from Thursday, June 15 through Saturday, June 17 on the grounds of Heritage Park, located behind the Canton Administration Building at 1150 S. Canton Center Road. This year's event will feature three fun filled days of great entertainment, exciting rides and Midway games, delicious food, two stages of live entertainment, a spectacular fireworks display and much, much more! New this year! Sensory Sensitivity Carnival Hours will be available on Thursday, June 17th. Festival goers who can't get enough of their favorite carnival rides can purchase discounted ride wristbands online now through Thursday, June 15 at Noon. The Megaband will give you unlimited access to all wristband approved rides, during all three days of the event, for just $60. Megabands can only be purchased in advance online. Single Day unlimited ride wristbands that are valid for any one day are $22 each online before the Festival and at the carnival will cost $25 for Thursday, $27 for Friday, and $30 on Saturday. All discounted wristband online sales will end on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Noon.The 6th Annual Liberty Run featuring 5K, 10K, and 1 Mile runs will take place on June 17th. A portion of your entry fee will help fund recreation and trail improvements in Canton. Gather your favorite red, white, and blue and "sparkling" gear and make your way to the starting line!
