[ARCHIVED] Canton’s Trick or Treat Parade Returns to the Summit on the Park

Canton Leisure Services Trick or Treat Parade will take place on Friday, October 28, 2018 from 4 – 7 p.m inside the Summit on the Park, located at 46000 Summit Parkway, in Canton, MI.

Children ages 10 and younger are encouraged to attend in costume and follow the not-so-scary trail from room to room, each filled with special surprises and little goodies. Parade participants will enjoy seeing the Summit all decked out for this spooktacular event. Younger trick-or-treaters will enjoy the trail, as it passes a variety of themed-stations which will allow them to visit with family-friendly characters, including: Mario; Snoopy; Pokémon; Minions; characters from Alice in Wonderland; Zootopia; and more. For those who dare, a spooky Haunted House will be available in the Summit’s Gymnasium that is scarier than ever. Please note that this interactive experience may be too intense for small children.

Tickets are on sale now and will only be sold in advance of the event. Tickets per child are $5 for Summit members and $6 for Canton residents. From October 15-27, Non-Resident tickets will be available for $10 per child. A limited amount of tickets for designated timeslots will be available for purchase at the Summit Front Desk, located at 46000 Summit Parkway; while supplies last. Please note that all ticket sales will end October 27 at 10 p.m. Kids of all ages planning to trick or treat and collect goodies during the event must have a ticket/collection bag. New this year there is a ten ticket limit per purchaser.

“Our Trick or Treat Parade is one of the most popular events that we host each year,” said Laura Mortier, Recreation Specialist for Canton Leisure Services. “This is a great family event that is perfect for the little one. There’s even a 'spookier experience' for the older kids inside our special Haunted House, where they can experience some brand new scares if they dare to stroll through our gymnasium."

This year’s sponsors include: Atchinson Ford, Best Brains, Bright Side Dental, Community Financial, Drs. Nolan and Guest Orthodontics, The Goddard School of Early Childhood Development, High Velocity Sports Center, Parkwood Orthodontics, PPG Paints, Pro Martial Arts, Skatin Station, and Twisted Rooster. Additional supporters of this annual Canton tradition include Arctic Edge Ice Arena and D&M Art Studio.

Please remember that parents are responsible for the direct supervision of their children during this special event. Don’t forget the camera; you won’t want to miss these great photo opportunities to snap precious family photos! For more information call 734/394-5460 or visit www.cantonfun.org.
