Simpson brings with him over 25 years in the golf industry, including previous assignments at Pheasant Run Golf Club over 14 years ago as Head Golf Professional, as well as Food and Beverage Manager.
“We are pleased to welcome back Paul to Canton, where we know he’ll be instrumental in ensuring great golf experiences at Pheasant Run Golf Club,” said Canton Leisure Services Director Debbie Bilbrey-Honsowetz, CPRP. “We are confident that Paul will be an integral part in managing and advancing golf operations at Pheasant Run when we open again this spring, once the weather cooperates.”
Simpson’s position prior to returning to Pheasant Run Golf Club was that of General Manager at Lyon Oaks Golf Club with the Oakland County Parks & Recreation from 2003 - 2015. Simpson is currently a class A member of the Professional Golf Association (PGA) of America.
“I am very excited to return to Pheasant Run and lead the team once again,” said Simpson. “This is a great facility that will continue to develop golfers looking to get involved in the game, as well as provide an excellent golfing experience for even the most skilled golfer.”
A graduate of Western Michigan University with a major in Accounting and a minor in General Business, Simpson is also a graduate of the Golf Professional Training Program (GPTP). In addition, he was the proud recipient of the Titleist and Foot-Joy scholarships for his performance in the GPTP Level II & III programs.
Simpson, his wife Shari, son Trevor, and daughter Tiana currently reside in Sylvan Lake, Michigan.
