Members of the community are invited to submit comments at the Master Plan on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Summit on the Park’s Walnut Room, located at 46000 Summit Parkway, Canton, MI.
Participants will be asked to take part in a simple “brainstorming exercise” and should arrive promptly at 6:30 p.m. A list of exercise questions will be available online at www.cantonfun.org for review prior to the meeting.
The current Leisure Services Master Plan was adopted in 2011. The revised Master Plan will ultimately serve as a guide in planning for acquisition, development and improvements to Leisure Services facilities, programs and services over the next five years. The development of this new master plan will ensure that Leisure Services continues to be a leader in the leisure industry.
“Members of our community now have an opportunity to submit their thoughts and ideas which are of critical importance to the success of our planning process,” said Greg Hohenberger, Operations Manager. “The community also has a chance to direct where we’re headed and help determine what our future plans are.”
Potential focus group participants may include area residents, partner agency/organization representatives, members of the business community, and/or users of Leisure Services facilities and services. Once through with this initial process, Canton Leisure Services will develop a draft plan, and make it available for public review and comment. The revised Master Plan is expected to be completed by early 2016.
Residents and all interested parties are encouraged to help Canton Leisure Services continue its success by joining in this Master Plan updating process. Participants are asked to RSVP to the Leisure Services Office by calling 734/394-5360 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are unable to attend this Focus Group and would like to provide public comment, please contact the Leisure Services Office.
