[ARCHIVED] Canton Leisure Services To Offer New Classes For Active Adults

The “In the Garden” series of classes will be held at the Summit on the Park, located at 46000
Summit Parkway in Canton, MI. Topics will include: “Putting the Garden to Bed” on Saturday, October 3; and “Garland and Wreath Making on Saturday, November 7. These classes will be held from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. in the Parkview Room.

Fees for each individual class for the “In the Garden” series for ages 18-49: $18 for Summit Members; $20 for Canton Residents; and $25 for Non-Residents. For participants 50 and over the class fees are $12 for Summit Members; $14 for Canton Residents; and $19 for Non-Residents.

“Every Day Uses for Essential Oils” is a one-time class that will be held on Wednesday, October 21,
2015 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the Summit on the Park’s Parkview Room. Learn how essential oils, extracted from plants, have been used for thousands of years for medicinal purposes, personal care and home care use. Hear about the many benefits of natural essential oils. This is a make-and-take class. Participants will make a natural deodorant and two additional products to take home.

Ages 18 to 49 can register for $26 for Summit Members; $28 for Canton Residents; and $33 for Non-Residents. Ages 50 and up can register for $23 for Summit Members; $25 for Canton Residents and $30 for Non-Residents.
