ART WORKSHOPS SCHEDULE
Each month a featured Art Workshop will be held that showcases a unique arts medium allowing participants to sharpen skills, get creative, or enjoy light refreshments while learning something new.
JANUARY 2022: MIXED MEDIA FIBER ART WORKSHOP
Date: Wednesday, January 19, 2022
Time: 6-8 PM
Fee: $20/person (Canton Residents and Non-Residents)
Join us for a fun & creative mixed media fiber art workshop! During this workshop, artist and professor Kelly Ingleright-Telgenhoff will show us how to paint with a needle, wool, and unprimed canvas (all which is provided) in a realistic/naturalistic fashion. We will recreate a 3-d object on the unprimed canvas. The class will be shown how to blend wool colors together just like paint to create nuances of color and how to create a mixed media image that possesses a 3-D quality. The class will also learn how to create an abstract work with wool and unprimed canvas for a more decorative look.
No experience necessary.
This class is appropriate for ages 18 and over.
All supplies/materials will be provided.

FEBRUARY 2022: JEWELRY MAKING WORKSHOP

Join us for a fun & creative jewelry making workshop! During this workshop, we will learn some basic jewelry techniques, and we will make and take a beautiful necklace. We will use our taste and imagination to create a unique piece of jewelry.
No experience necessary.
This class is appropriate for ages 18 and over.
All supplies/materials will be provided.

MARCH 2022: WATERCOLOR FLOWER ART WORKSHOP
Date: Wednesday, March 16
Time: 6-8 PM

Join us for a fun art workshop! Celebrate spring with us in our beautiful gallery and learn how to draw a beautiful magnolia flower. We will use basic watercolor techniques, gold acrylic paint, and real gold leafing to add some fine details to our painting.
No experience necessary.

APRIL 2022: PERSIAN DECORATIVE ART WORKSHOP
Date: Wednesday, April 20, 2022
Time: 6-8 PM
Fee: $20/person (Canton Residents and Non-Residents)
Join us for a unique art workshop inspired by Islamic art! During this workshop, artist Reem Taki will show us how to make our own decorative pattern using paint, gold leaf and more. We’ll use paint from minerals and real gold to make our own Persian miniature design. By the end of the workshop, you will have a unique, miniature art painting to take home!
No experience necessary.
This class is appropriate for ages 18 and over.

MAY 2022: FLOWER WREATH WORKSHOP

Join us for a fun workshop! Celebrate spring in our beautiful gallery and create your very own flower wreath! We’ll use faux flowers to decorate our wreaths. There will be a variety of flowers to choose from. By the end of the workshop, you will have a beautiful flower wreath to take home!

JUNE 2022: DECOUPAGE ART WORKSHOP

Get creative in our gallery and experiment with the magic world of decoupage! We will learn the basic decoupage techniques and secrets and we will apply it on wood. We will make and take our very own decoupage art project! A variety of designs will be provided.
