Heat up your October with some of the best chili in the Canton community during a special Chili Cook-Off fundraiser to benefit the Canton Cares Fund on Sunday, October 17, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Preservation Park, located at 500 N. Ridge Road in Canton, MI.
Participants are encouraged to come sample and vote for Canton’s Best Chili at this special Chili Cook-Off fundraiser that will be held during the last Canton Farmers Market of the season. Proceeds raised from this tasty fundraiser will specifically benefit the Canton Cares Fund, a 501(c)(3) that supports the Canton community by providing financial assistance to disaster relief, therapeutic recreation, youth and senior programs, employee recognition, and scholarships. The Canton Cares Fund, part of the Canton Community Foundation has distributed thousands of dollars since it was started in 2018 to those in need. Funds are raised exclusively from individuals and business donations.
”The Canton Cares Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser was created to offer participants a fun and tasty way to support our community,” said Laura Mortier, Recreation Supervisor. “Our goal with this year’s Chili Cook-Off is to provide a great fall event that benefits a great cause.”
Tickets for this event will be sold at the door for $10 for ages 13 and older, or $5 for ages 12 and under; cash preferred. The children’s meal includes a hotdog. The event is limited to the first 1,000 participants. Additional full servings of Chili and hot dogs will be available for purchase for $2 each.
