Stop by any time during this event in the Summit's Arts II Room and provide feedback to the recent updates to the Patriot Park Master Plan Draft, which is available for review at www.cantonfun.org. Hard copies are also available for review during regular business hours at the Summit on the Park front desk and at the Canton Leisure Services Administrative Office, located at 1150 S. Canton Center Road, Canton, MI.
Canton residents can also provide feedback about the Patriot Park Master Plan Draft by taking an online survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PatriotParkUpdate2015, which will be available through Monday, March 9, 2015.
“Members of our community now have an opportunity to submit their feedback which is of critical importance to the success of our planning process for Patriot Park,” said Brad Sharp, Parks Manager. “The community also has a chance to direct where we’re headed with the development of Patriot Park to include natural spaces, trails, athletic opportunities and other desired amenities.”
Located on the northwest corner of Ford and Ridge Roads, Patriot Park is currently 134 acres of undeveloped land that was acquired by Canton Township through a Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund grant for the purpose of creating a large community park, which would provide both passive and active recreation opportunities.
Participants are asked to register for the Open House by calling 734/394-5360 or by emailing leisure@canton-mi.org. For more information about Canton Leisure Services Patriot Park Master Plan project, visit Cantonfun.org or call 734/394-5310.
