Better Than Ever Productions invites you to honor veterans this November with their production of “A Few Good Men” by Aaron Sorkin on the Biltmore Studio stage at The Village Theater at Cherry Hill in Canton, MI on Friday November 16 – 18, 2018.
Aaron Sorkin, best known for his work as a screenwriter, has written over 80 episodes of The West Wing and has written the screenplays for many feature films, including Charlie Wilson’s War, Enemy of the State, Malice, Steve Jobs, The Social Network, Moneyball and recently wrote and directed Molly’s Game. He is famous for his rapid-fire dialogue and informative detailed writing. A Few Good Men will be mounted as an NBC live network play in 2019. As the story goes, when a friend asked him to house sit for a few days, and he discovered a typewriter, he simply began writing. A Few Good Men launched him to near-instant success.
John Sartor, of Canton Township, MI, who directs the show, says, "We’ve gathered some of the best actors in Southeast Michigan for this cast and have the opportunity to mount it at The Village Theatre. The costumes are rented from New York true to the original Broadway design with generous contributions from local Canton businesses. Opening night is sold out 3 weeks prior to the performance weekend. This cast is ready to deliver a powerful piece of modern-day playwriting and the audience members will literally be part of the play in this black box setting.”
