[ARCHIVED] Michigan Publinx Medal Play Championship Results From Pheasant Run Golf Club

Pheasant Run Golf Club played host to the Michigan Publinx Medal Play Championship May 19-20, 2018, with 91 contestants participating in the event.  Presented by the Michigan Publinx Golf Association (MPGA), this 54-hole event is one of the premier amateur golf events held annually in Michigan. 

 

Contestants competed in a 2-day tournament within 2 divisions.  This year’s winner of the Championship division was Donnie Trosper of Canton, MI, who finished at 13 under par and the winner of the Senior Scratch division was Bob Papp of Grosse Ile, MI, who finished at 9 under par.

 

Known as one of the oldest and most respected golf organizations in the state, the Michigan Publinx Golf Association (MPGA) was founded in 1951.  Along with the Golf Association of Michigan (GAM) and the Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA), the Michigan Publinx Golf Association is one of the original organizations established to serve golfers in the State of Michigan.
