Things To Do

We look forward to seeing you at the 2017 Liberty Fest on June 15-17, 2017. Here are some examples of activities that have happened at this past year's Liberty Fest. Details about our 2017 festival will be made available in the spring of 2017.

There is plenty to do throughout Heritage Park during this three-day festival. Whether you want to take a spin on the carnival rides, find the car or truck that you've always dreamed of owning at America's Most Wanted Car Show, watch a performance at our two stages of live entertainment, or curl up in a quiet part of the park with a delicious elephant ear or corn dog, there is something for everyone at this year's Liberty Fest!

  • Fireworks are weather dependent and will be shot off the west side of the park.

Movie Under the Stars:  

  • Friday, June 17. Movie will begin at dusk
  • Star Wars: The Force Awakens
  • Come out early and meet Star Wars characters

Shell Camino Monster Trucks: ($)

  • Love Monster Trucks? Love watching them on TV? Come take a ride in one down Veterans Way!

D&M Art Tent:  

  • Friday and Saturday ONLY
  • Stop on by and create your own Masterpiece with D&M artists

D&M Face-painting: ($)

  • Find us throughout the park

Scholastic Book Fair: ($)

  • Cool off in our book tent, all proceeds from book sales help provide books for Canton summer camp readers.



  • Stop in and visit us all weekend, check out our Lego City with moving attractions provided by the Michigan LEGO Users Group (MichLUG).

Spin Art: ($)

  • Spin Art, Sandy Candy, Sand Art and Airbrush Tattoos

Animal Exhibits:

  • Wildlife Safari, featuring Nelson the Safari Guy; A interactive chance to learn exotic animals from around the world. (Friday and Saturday 12 - 8 pm)
  • Barnyard Express, an educational farm show that includes miniature horse, calf, sheep, goat, pig and Farmer John's dog "Smudge", show times Friday and Saturday 2 pm, 4:30 pm & 7 pm.
  • Pony Rides (10 am - 6 pm; Saturday Only); ($) Carousel Acres is partnering with Canton Kiwanis Club to support Kiwanis community service projects that focus on children.100% of the Kiwanis proceeds go back into the community, supporting programs like Mott's Children's Hospital, Kids Against Hunger, Children's Miracle Network, Salvation Army, reading programs and book donations at local elementary schools, and more!

Pancake Breakfast: ($)

  • Saturday ONLY, 7 am - 12 pm (while supplies last)
  • Held at Heritage Park's North Pavilions.
  • Donations graciously accepted. 
  • Proceeds help the Lions support a number of local charities.
  • Several costumed-characters will be on site to visit with from 9:30  - 11:30 am.

Canton Firefighters' Annual Spaghetti Dinner: ($)

  • Friday ONLY, 5 - 9 pm (while supplies last)
  • $7 for adults (13 and up), $5 for children (ages 5-12), FREE for children 4 years and under.
  • Dinner includes all-you-can-eat spaghetti, roll, cookie and drink prepared by Rose's Restaurant.
  • Proceeds benefit the Canton Firefighter's #2289 Foundation.

Kohl's Cares for Kids:


  • Saturday ONLY the first 250 children ages 1-14 will receive a free bike helmet. Limit one per child and child must be present to be fitted. Sponsored by: Kohl's Cares, Kohl's Injury Prevention Program, and Children's Hospital of Michigan DMC Detroit Medical Center.

Canoe & Kayak Rides: ($)


  • Experience Liberty Fest from the water!  Rent a canoe or a kayak from Heavner Canoes.
